IMMIGRATION Don't Ask Presidential Candidate John McCain

First off, John McCain lost Maine by a long shot. Sure hardly anybody campaigned there, although Ron Paul stopped by and Mitt Romney sent his son Tagg to get a hotdog. But what surprised me is that John McCain had all the endorsements. But to the residents of Maine the endorsements meant nothing. Endorsements aren't part of the 2008 voter information packet and McCain once said, "I hope people will judge me by those who have endorsed me." Is that because conservatives don't trust him on economics and social issues?

The crushing defeat in Maine is a blow to McCain for the following two reasons:
1. McCain brought in the most money from Maine residents and still lost.
2. Look at the long list of distinguished groupies that endorsed McCain and he still lost.

JOHN MCCAIN 2008 MAINE LEADERSHIP TEAM

Honorary Chair
Former Governor John R. McKernan

Co-Chairs
United Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine)
United States Senator Susan M. Collins (R-Maine)

Vice Chair
State Representative Josh Tardy (R-Newport)

Legislative Team (see below)

Even with McCain's powerhouse group, he still got toasted. However, the purpose of this post is to bring to your attention McCain's distaste with questions about immigration. In Arizona, his own state, look at how he treats a man who presents a question about illegal immigrants.
